The PopCast starts on September 1, a month before the festival, with an episode every few days through festival week. Plain MP3s, about half an hour each, posted to popmontreal.com alongside the weekly Pop Picks. The year closes with #10, a three-part look back at 2005.

2006

Twice a month through the spring, including a SXSW edition and #14, a one-off video episode.

In July, #23 “Next Chapter” becomes the first enhanced episode — chapters, and artwork that changes as it plays — and every episode after it follows.

A one-year anniversary special in August, the first PopCast Showcase in October, and a run of post-festival episodes into December.

Every episode enhanced. Volume 3 in March, SXSW again (#36, Turduckens!), and the Sexennial in September.

Then #41 to #44 one a day over the festival, October 3–6, with Jack Dylan and his Pop Montreal “issue” covers.

2008

Fewer, longer episodes — around 45 minutes. The 2007 wrap-up runs into March with #45B and #45C.

The Concordia lecture on podcasting as alternative media goes out as an episode, then #46 “The Next Generation” in October, and #50, “2008 is Broken,” in December.
